Software & system development · Sri Lanka

Whatever your business runs on,
we can build it properly.

Most business software asks you to change how you work. We do the opposite - we study how your business actually runs, then build the system around it. Retail counters, warehouses, ledgers, customs, manufacturing floors. On your screens, in your language of work, with your rules encoded in it.

No templates - every system built to order Works offline, on the shop floor On-site island-wide & fully remote
The difference

Software that survives contact with a real business.

A demo that looks good is easy. A system that still adds up after two years of daily use - through power cuts, printer faults, staff changes and a boss who changes the discount rule on a Friday - is a different discipline entirely.

That is the discipline we build to. Money is stored as whole cents, never as a decimal that quietly drifts. Every sale writes a document, a ledger entry and a stock movement in one transaction, so no report can ever disagree with another. Posted records are reversed, never edited, so the history stays true.

See how we build

Correct by construction

Every journal must balance to the cent before it is allowed to save. If it cannot, the transaction fails loudly instead of rounding the difference away.

Fast where it matters

A counter is judged in keystrokes. Search, quantity, enter - the line drops in. No mouse needed for a whole bill.

Nothing blocks a sale

A dead printer, a dropped network, a full disk - none of them stop a customer being served. The bill is already in the books; paper can be reprinted.

Your data stays yours

Automatic backups you can actually restore from, and an export of everything in open formats. No hostage situations, ever.

Try it yourself - nothing to install, nothing to sign up for

Don't take our word for it. Use the software.

Four working systems, running right here in your browser, on invented demo data. Ring up a sale and print the receipt. Calculate import duty on a shipment. Receive goods and design a barcode label. Issue a loan and watch the ledger balance itself.

Every figure, name, product and reference in these demos is invented for demonstration. They show what the software does, not anyone's real business. Client systems and client data are never published.
What we build

One team, the whole system.

Not a website here and a spreadsheet there. The counter, the stockroom, the office and the phone in the owner's pocket, all looking at the same numbers at the same moment.

Retail & wholesale systems

A complete shop operating system, from the barcode on the shelf to the month-end margin report.

  • Fast counter billing, retail and trade prices on one screen
  • Cash, card, cheque, credit and part-payments on a single bill
  • Pricing engine - cost, transport, margin and discount buffer
  • Shelf labels and barcodes printed from your own layout
  • Day close, drawer reconciliation and takings by tender

Inventory & warehouse

Know what you have, where it is, what it cost, and what is about to run out.

  • Goods received notes with landed cost spread across the delivery
  • Bin and rack locations, transfers and pick lists
  • Stock counts done on a phone, walking the aisle
  • Batch, serial and expiry tracking where it matters
  • Reorder points that account for lead time, not just quantity

Accounting, loans & funds

Real double-entry underneath, plain language on top. Nobody has to understand debits to use it.

  • Loans, advances, savings, pawning and member accounts
  • Repayment schedules, renewals and overdue follow-up
  • Cash books, tills, transfers and daily reconciliation
  • Trial balance, P&L and balance sheet from the same entries
  • Statements and receipts your members actually keep

Import, export & logistics

Built by people who have actually consolidated a container and cleared it.

  • Shipment files - packing lists, invoices, marks and cartons
  • Consolidation and container loading plans
  • Landed cost per item, back to the shelf price
  • Duty, PAL, CESS, SSCL and VAT computed on the cascade
  • Document packs assembled and exported ready to submit

AI & document intelligence

The useful kind - reads your paperwork, cites its source, and never invents a number.

  • Search inside scans and phone photos, not just filenames
  • Hybrid retrieval so exact codes and part numbers still hit
  • Every answer cites the file, page and snippet it came from
  • Guided classification with the reasoning shown, not hidden
  • Runs locally when the documents must not leave the building

Manufacturing & costing

What a unit really costs you - with the double-counting taken out.

  • Bill of materials, wastage and yield per production run
  • Material cost kept strictly separate from overheads
  • True margin per product, per customer, per month
  • Production entry simple enough for the factory floor
  • One monthly result page the owner reads in ten seconds

Non-negotiables

The rules we don't break, even when it's slower.

These aren't style preferences. Each one exists because breaking it produces wrong money, and wrong money is how software loses a business's trust for good.

STD.01

Money is whole cents

Never a decimal. Decimal money drifts, and one day your outstanding balance reads 0.0000098.

STD.02

Every journal balances

Debits and credits must agree before a save is allowed. A mismatch fails loudly, never silently rounds.

STD.03

History is append-only

A posted document is reversed, never edited. What happened stays visible, with who did it and when.

STD.04

One event, one transaction

The document, the ledger lines and the stock movement are written together or not at all.

STD.05

Reports are derived

Nothing is kept in a second place by hand, so two reports can never disagree with each other.

STD.06

Backups you can restore

Verified by reading them back, kept off the same disk, and tested - not just written and hoped for.

STD.07

Hardware never blocks work

Printer dead, network gone, scanner unplugged - the sale still completes and the books still balance.

STD.08

Nothing sends itself

Messages to your customers are prepared for you. A person always presses send.

STD.09

Cost is never on display

Where cost must appear on a screen facing a customer, it appears in a cipher only your staff can read.

STD.10

Upgrades never touch data

The program folder and the data folder are separate. A new version physically cannot land on your records.

STD.11

Below-cost needs a person

A price under the floor is refused until somebody with the authority confirms it deliberately.

STD.12

Tested before it ships

Automated tests cover the money paths - a week of trading is replayed against the books on every change.

Delivered work

Real systems, running every day.

Client names and figures stay confidential - always. What we can show you is the problem, the engineering, and what changed afterwards.

Retail · Central Province

Replacing a POS that couldn't count

A busy retail and wholesale shop was running on a package that stored money as a 32-bit float. Balances had drifted into fractions of a cent and bills were landing a cent over. We rebuilt it on an integer-cent double-entry core - and found, on the way, that no item in the catalogue had a usable wholesale price stored at all.

Community finance

An audited fund, rebuilt from a day book

Years of loans, savings and till movements lived in an ageing desktop database with no real ledger behind it. We rebuilt the whole book as proper double entry - and proved it by reproducing every line of the audited year-end accounts to the rupee, including a cash figure the old system had never held.

Customs & compliance

A duty engine that shows its working

Importers were guessing at landed cost because the duty cascade is genuinely hard and the published tariff is a maze. We built a classification and duty platform that computes the full statutory chain, cites the rule behind every line, and refuses to state a figure it cannot ground.

How a project runs

From a conversation to a system your staff prefer.

No quote forms, no ten-page requirement documents you have to write yourself. We come and watch how the work is done today - that is where the real specification lives.

Understand the business

We sit at your counter, walk your stockroom, read your existing books and paperwork. Half of every system we build is discovered here, not described in a meeting.

Design what you'll actually touch

Screens first, in front of you, before a line of business logic is written. If your cashier can't run a bill on it in two minutes, it goes back to the drawing board.

Build the engine underneath

The ledger, the stock movements, the pricing rules, the printing, the backups. Tested against a full replayed week of trading before anybody sees it.

Move your data across

Your existing records come with you - spreadsheets, an old package, handwritten books. We migrate, reconcile, and show you the two sets of numbers agreeing.

Go live beside you

We're there on the day. Staff trained on the real system with real stock, not a slide deck. The old system stays available until you don't want it any more.

Stay reachable

WhatsApp, a call, AnyDesk onto the machine, or in person if it needs hands. Systems keep growing - a new report, a new branch, a rule that changed. That's normal, and it's covered.

Where we work

Based in Sri Lanka. Reachable from anywhere.

We're in Kandy and working out of Colombo, and we travel anywhere on the island when a system needs hands on the hardware - a printer to configure, a counter to set up, staff to train on their own machines.

Everything else runs remotely and runs well: AnyDesk onto the machine when something needs looking at, WhatsApp for the quick questions, a call or a Zoom when it's easier to talk it through. Clients outside Sri Lanka are served entirely this way, and it works.

On-site, island-wide

Installation, hardware setup, staff training and go-live day, anywhere in Sri Lanka.

Remote support

AnyDesk sessions on your machine, so a fix takes minutes instead of a site visit.

Always on WhatsApp

The quick question at 8pm on a Saturday. Usually answered the same evening.

International clients

Fully remote delivery, in English, across time zones. Distance has never been the hard part.

Straight answers

The questions everyone asks first.

It depends entirely on scope, and we won't pretend otherwise - a single-counter shop system and a multi-branch warehouse platform are different projects by an order of magnitude. What we will do is give you a fixed, itemised price before any work starts, broken into stages, so you always know what you are committing to. There are no licence fees per user and no surprise renewals.

A focused system - a shop counter, a costing tool, a stock book - is typically weeks, not months. A full multi-module platform with data migration from an old package is longer. You will see working screens early and often, so progress is something you watch rather than something you're told about.

Yes, and this is something we're genuinely good at. We've migrated from desktop databases, from long-abandoned commercial packages, and from years of spreadsheets and handwritten books. The important part isn't the copying - it's the reconciling afterwards, where we show your old totals and the new system's totals agreeing line by line before you trust it.

Not unless you want it to. We build offline-first by default: the system runs on your own machine, on your own shop network, and keeps working through an outage. Where you want branches to see each other, or the owner to check the day's takings from a phone, we add that on top - as a bonus, never as a dependency.

You keep everything. Your data is on your machine in an open, documented format, and we will export it in whatever shape you ask for at any time, for any reason, without discussion. We think holding a business's own records hostage is indefensible, so we've made it structurally impossible in the way our systems are built.

They're the people we design for. The systems we're proudest of are used daily by staff who had never used business software before - because the screen asks one plain question at a time, the common path is the fast path, and mistakes are reversible. We train on your real data, on your machines, on the day you go live, and we stay reachable afterwards.

Usually yes. Thermal receipt printers, label printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, weighing scales and customer displays are all things we've driven directly. Where a device is genuinely dead-ended we'll tell you plainly and recommend the cheapest thing that works, rather than the thing with the best margin for us.

The software is real and it is running in your browser as you use it - the money arithmetic, the ledger, the barcode encoding and the PDF documents are all the genuine article. The data is entirely invented. Every product, person, shipment and figure was made up for the demo. No client system and no client data is ever published, in any form.

Let's talk

Tell us what your business runs on today.

Even if it's a notebook and a spreadsheet - especially if it is. The first conversation is free, and it's a conversation, not a sales call. If we're not the right people for it, we'll say so and point you somewhere better.
